Look no further if you want a simple, seamless interface for casual gameplay.

I find myself defaulting to Chess Knight over the other apps on my computer, including Big Bang, Sigma and the OS X Chess app. Unlike Big Bang it is no-frills gameplay. Compared to the OS X app, Chess Knight has a cleaner, clearer interface more conducive to...just playing the game. That said, the clarity and simplicity of Chess Knight does mean a trade-off; if you want advanced features for serious, analytical gameplay on a crowded interface, use Sigma. One doesnt replace the other. But in its category, Chess Knight is unmatched.

Also, for kids or those learning chess, this app is relatively unchallenging even at the "hard" level, and theres an option to illustrate possible moves.
